Description of Bosch 4000-07 15 amp 10-inch Worksite Table Saw with Folding StandFolding Stand included; Powerful 15 amp, max motor 4.4 HP - enough power to accept 13/16" stack dado; Advanced Electronic Systems Soft Start Technology and Torque Response System; Integrated Cutting Rail System extends to 25"; Depth of cut at 90 degrees is 3 1/8", at 45 degrees is 2 1/2"; Constant Response Circuitry - maintains constant speed under load ; Bosch's 10-inch Worksite table saw might just be the best of the current bunch. Benchtop table saws--which weigh 60 to 100 pounds and are light enough for one person to carry from the truck to the job site--have increased in popularity in recent years. They set up easily on a workbench or sawhorses and generally feature stable components that make them great for pros and serious hobbyists alike. Although at 60 pounds the Bosch is lighter than any other saw in its class, this saw is no lightweight. It sports a die-cast undercarriage and powerful 4.4-horsepower, 15 amp motor--burly components that make it a serious, albeit slight, contender. Conveniently, the Bosch comes ready to use right out of the box; we were making cuts about 10 minutes after the UPS delivery. Plus, it's the only benchtop table saw with an arbor lock, so mounting the blade is a one-wrench affair (less chance for busted knuckles). The wrench--like all those that come with Bosch tools--is forged, rather than stamped, and so there are no sharp edges that dig into your hand during blade changes. It's a small detail, but one that matters and one that's typical of the attention to detail paid by Bosch engineers. A flip of the paddle-style on/off switch initiates the soft-start electronics, which ramp the blade up to speed quickly without any disturbing jolt. The electronic feedback, popular on many saws today, keeps the blade turning at a constant speed, no matter what the load. The fence is the heart of any table saw and we found Bosch's to be a beauty. It's well machined and locks securely and accurately to the table. The cam-lock handle is padded, seats flush, and feels good to use. Like the comparable DeWalt saw, the Bosch features an extendable fence that makes it easy to rip four-by-eight panel material. It feels solid and slides smoothly, and the scales are easy to read. (There's even a built-in magnifying glass to cut down on the squint factor.) As with all the new Bosch tools, wrenches and removable items store nicely onboard the saw. The fence snaps into a holder on the side of the saw and stays put, and the miter gauge slides into a slot on the front of the tool--yet another small detail that we appreciate. The bottom line? The Bosch is a powerful saw that handles big stock without bogging down. --Mark McDonald
Tools and Hardware Reviews of Bosch 4000-07 15 amp 10-inch Worksite Table Saw with Folding StandCustomer Review: Nothing is as simple as this! Even I can do it! This says alot! Summary: 5 Stars
I like writing about things that I puchase online because if you do your homework, no cheating now boys or girls, you get to know a deal when you see one and belive me I did see it at the "Orange Box Store" as they now rent this magnificent work tool out for a huge price of $12.00 a day. What they try to sell you is another thing or two different than John Bosch. Most of the real employee's don't know the difference between cast Iron and Aluminum that is power coated or just what that means either. It has taken me close to Fifteen years to buy a table saw and this is with resistance to alot of outside forces that are not worth mentioning other than they were their.
When the BOSCH 4000-07 10" Worksite Table Saw arrived I pulled it out of the Box and that took 20 minutes as it is well packaged and did well in shipment. I should warn you that you should recycle all the styrofoam as it gives good money to the city or manicapality that does the work were you live. Lots of good styrofoam of high quality too. You will have to be ingenious about getting one particular block around the motor and saw.
If you become frustated with the stryofoam you can always assemble the table as this is always fun to do until you turn over the saw and reach in and take the block out after tilting the saw blade and freeing the block. The legs come seperate and must be assembled to reach a proper height. Once you have the table assembled you can then lift it into the height that it was to be used to place the saw on. This table is not really adjustable for tall people but for the rest of us it fits just fine. I'm 5'7" amd find it to work out fine for myself.
If you rip or do alot of cut for lenght routine then please put the safety guards and leave it alone. Your use of the saw will be for a job site saw and nothing else. However if you build things like I do then take the Guard off and use it only when you are using it as a jobsite saw.
A tennon setup will work in this saw like Delta or other copies that work just as well but you must use sacrafical material that equals 1-1/2" to the blade.
Read the Manual as much as possable and get in touch with Bosch on line or with their 800's number if anything you need to know or does go wrong. The really good thing to have is a vacume hooked up as the 4 H.P. motor really throws out the sawdust. It is a work horse after all and will live up to it too. I truely belive that this was the best that I can do for myself to buy this tool. Others might find it to light or not steady enough to do real work but I belive that this tool will do the job that you intend to do with it and will be an excelent first Table Saw for anyone who does wood working. Truely this is a beginning step for some people who don't wish to spend an "Arm and a Leg" to get to know what an important Tool for the work shop is. Limited space and all this could be used and placed out of the way when not in use. That is what I intend to do when not in use. Just so most people know some table saws of heaver and less protable means end up as another work surface. Indeed the work sufaces of all workbenches and other tools should be the same height as the table saw in an ideal situation but a worksite saw fits in anywere.
Working within the line and not outside of them I have never had any BOSCH TOOL FAIL TO LIVE UP TO THE STANDARDS THAT THE COMPANY HAS SET FOR THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCTS OR SATIFACTION OF THE CUSTOMER WHO EITHER MAKES A LIVING FROM THE USE OF THEIR PRODUCTS OR IS SATISFIED WITH THE WORK DONE FOR THE SAKE OF DO A JOB WELL DONE. One bad review isn't to do all or end all of a good tool company. I own three power tools from BOSCH and am happy with all of them Two are saws and one is a sander all but one bought over the internet.
